Sun Print Solutions printed the magazine for the Great Salt Lake Is Not a Luxury campaign.
The Salt Lake City company produced the publication for a cultural initiative that combines fashion, art, print, and film to raise awareness and funding for Great Salt Lake restoration.
The project features twenty looks created by student and emerging designers from Utah State University, Brigham Young University, Salt Lake Community College, and the Fashion Institute of Technology. Each design draws inspiration from a specific part of the lake’s ecosystem. The magazine pairs the collection with visual and scientific details about the lake. It will debut at a fashion show on November 14 at This Is the Place Heritage Park.
Sun Print Solutions employs low-impact inks and recycles waste materials as part of its daily operations. The partnership aligns with the company’s environmental practices.
Proceeds from the campaign support Great Salt Lake restoration efforts. These efforts include water rights, infrastructure, and phragmites removal. The funds also provide payment for the student designers.
Founded in 1941, Sun Print Solutions is a women-owned commercial print, folding carton packaging, and direct mail company based in Salt Lake City. The project website is futurefolklore.org.
