Mark Jobe, founding pastor of New Life Community Church, stated that God intends for individuals to view their lives as part of a larger story he is writing. Jobe, a Chicago-based minister who previously served as president of Moody Bible Institute, explained that this perspective provides both a formative past and a hopeful future. He spoke during the daily segment Bold Steps Minute, which airs on WCRF-FM.

The pastor warned that losing sight of one's origins and divine direction can erode a person's sense of identity and purpose. According to Jobe, remembering God's presence helps restore confidence in who a person is and where they belong. He described this process as central to maintaining stability in life.

Jobe leads a multi-campus church with more than 25 locations in Chicago. He also founded New Life Centers, an organization that serves thousands of at-risk youth throughout the city. His ministry work focuses on transforming lives through the power of God's Word. He shares this ministry work with his wife, Dee.

The segment is part of a daily series that offers motivating truths from Scripture. Jobe brings decades of pastoral experience to the teaching, aiming to provide clear and candid guidance on topics that affect listeners across different generations and cultures. The program encourages audiences to walk boldly with God in their homes, workplaces, and communities.
