Sara Landry released her second album, Divine Intervention, on October 16. The 14-track project arrived on HEKATE, the label Landry founded. She mixed the record herself and kept ownership of the masters. The album features hard bounce, psy-techno, and psytrance styles.
Landry performed a sold-out show at Ace Mission Studios in Los Angeles on the release date. She played an encore with an edit of “Sweet Nothing” by Calvin Harris and Florence Welch. The track was a remix by her collaborator Alt8. Landry usually stays behind the decks, but she climbed up to dance with the crowd for this specific moment.
The album’s creation took roughly a year. Landry worked across several continents. Initial ideas formed during the 2025 Amsterdam Dance Event. She hosted artists from her label at her home for writing sessions. Tracks like “Decon” and “Get Inside” started there. She later worked with Australian producer Ali James in Melbourne. They wrote the track “Energy” in a single studio session.
Landry also collaborated with German producer Electric Universe. She invited him to her home for dinner and a studio session. His son played her new music during the visit. Landry signed him to her label immediately after the session. Most vocals on the album are performed by Landry. She estimates she sings 90 percent of the vocal parts. She records these parts on her phone and processes them with a vocoder.
Landry tested the songs in secret before the release. She played new tracks in her DJ sets without announcing them. She observed how the audience reacted to the unknown material. If the crowd responded positively, the track was ready for release. She avoided the common practice of announcing unreleased music on the microphone.
The artist has expanded her touring schedule significantly in recent years. She headlined Red Rocks in Colorado six days before the Los Angeles show. Her headline shows this year sold approximately 100,000 tickets. She also appeared at more than 50 festivals. A 2023 Boiler Room set has exceeded 11 million views. She became the first woman to headline the Sphere in Las Vegas in October 2025.
Landry grew up in Austin, Texas, but has strong ties to Los Angeles. She played her first show outside Texas at a warehouse party in 2021. The event was organized by the 6am Group. She has since played multiple large-scale events in Southern California. This includes two sold-out nights at Factory 93 in 2024. Tickets for the first night sold out in under an hour.
Her recent appearances have mostly been at large festivals. The Ace Mission show offered a more intimate setting. Landry described it as a chance to return to smaller venues. She noted that her fans in the area often hold down the crowds. Many attendees at the release party wore her merchandise and engaged with the music actively.
Landry plans to continue touring in the coming weeks. She is scheduled to play Ultra Mexico in a few weeks. She also headlined a solo show in Mexico City earlier this year. She travels to the region regularly to visit family and enjoy local food. She describes her relationship with the divine as personal and pagan rather than tied to organized religion.
The album title reflects the artist’s belief in the creative process. Landry says the record decided its own structure. She built the songs in blocks to create a specific arc. The bounce elements appear at the beginning, while the trance tracks close the album. She allows the music to take shape organically during production.
