Sublime Returns for 4/20 Weekend
The band, now led by Bradley Nowell's son, will perform the classic album in full across two nights at Red Rocks.

Denver residents can hear Sublime live again in April, with the band scheduling two consecutive dates at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The concerts fall on Saturday, April 17, and Sunday, April 18, placing the performances three days before the unofficial cannabis holiday widely observed in Colorado.
The tour supports the 35th anniversary of the album 40 OZ to Freedom and the release of the group's first new record in thirty years, Until the Sun Explodes. Jakob Nowell, son of late frontman Bradley Nowell, currently leads the outfit. Nowell died of a heroin overdose in 1996, and the band's formation under his son's leadership marks a distinct shift in the group's personnel.
Attendees should expect a complete performance of the 1996 material. The setlist will include 40 OZ to Freedom from start to finish, covering tracks such as the fan favorite Santeria. This approach treats the album as a standalone live event rather than a standard greatest hits set.
Ticket sales begin on Wednesday, November 4, at 10 a.m. through AXS.com for presale holders. General sales open on Friday, November 6. The timing aligns the live music event with the local cultural calendar surrounding April 20, a date long associated with the band's aesthetic and fanbase in the state.
Red Rocks remains a central venue for large-scale outdoor music in the Denver area. Hosting two nights back-to-back allows the production to serve a wider audience over a weekend rather than a single evening. The announcement ties the band's legacy directly to the specific geography of the Front Range.
