Nordstrom Rack began operations Thursday at a new 24,000-square-foot store in Lakewood. The retailer opened its doors at 14357 W. Colfax Ave. in the Denver West Village shopping center.
The company sells clothing, shoes, accessories, beauty products, and home decor at discounts of up to 70 percent. It also provides online order pickup, returns, and alterations at select sites.
This is the second new location the Seattle-based company opened recently. It also launched a 24,000-square-foot store in Dillon. Dean Insalaco, vice president of leasing at Miller United, said the company is committed to the Summit County and resort communities with the Dillon Ridge Marketplace addition.
Kimra Perkins, general manager of Denver West Village, stated that the center aims to provide an exceptional shopping experience for residents and visitors. She noted that the new tenant adds to the center's diverse retail offerings.
Nordstrom Inc. now operates two full-line stores and 11 Nordstrom Rack locations across Colorado. The chain employs more than 1,000 people in the state.
Existing locations include Aurora, Denver, Westminster, Boulder, Lone Tree, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, and Longmont. Simon Property Group owns and manages Denver West Village, which also houses World Market, Barnes & Noble, Marshalls, Whole Foods Market, and Old Navy.
